Breakfast and drive to Amboseli National Park set in the shadow of Kilimanjaro. Lunch at Oltukai Lodge. Amboseli National Park is situated near the border of Kenya and Tanzania in the south east region of Kenya about 250 kms from Nairobi. Magnificent views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro greet visitors anywhere in the park. The best time to see it, however, is early morning or just around sunset as it’s more than likely it will be cloaked in clouds during the day. Africa’s highest mountain erupted millions of years ago spewing volcanic rock across the plains. The park takes it’s name from the Masai word meaning “salty dust”.
